HYDERABAD, INDIAAerospace build partner

Aerospace hardware, built, checked and delivered.

By engineers who have been on your side of the requirement. Manufacturing is where we start: we take the drawing, choose the route, control inspection and documentation, and deliver. When your requirement goes further, we coordinate the path and remain accountable for it.

A drawing, a BOM, a part number, a photo or a written description: any of them is a place to start.

People who lived the build

We’ve been on your side of the requirement.

Before Almost Aliens, we were the engineers waiting on the hardware. We know what happens when one supplier delay holds up an entire build, and what it actually takes to get a part made, checked, documented and delivered.

We built Almost Aliens to be the build partner we wanted on the other side of the table: one that understands the requirement, owns the path to delivery, and tells you the truth about it along the way.

What we’ve dealt with ourselves

  • Finding a manufacturer that can actually make the part
  • Locating specialist suppliers who are not publicly listed
  • Assessing whether a supplier can deliver what they claim
  • Parts delivered without the documentation they require
  • Inspection and test slots rescheduled around upstream delays
  • Hardware damaged in transit through inadequate packaging

Manufacturing

Manufacturing is where we start

Machined, fabricated and assembled parts for aerospace: the work we know best. Production is carried out by manufacturing partners we have qualified for each job, on our process route and under our revision control and inspection. Every envelope, tolerance and finish below comes from the same data the RFQ builder uses.

Brackets, fittings, housings and struts in aerospace alloys, to the tolerance class the drawing calls, with the finish tied to its specification.

  • ISO 2768-f (fine) as standard; ±0.025 mm on called-out features with CMM verification
  • Aluminium 7075-T651, Titanium Gr5 (Ti-6Al-4V), Inconel 718 and Stainless 17-4 PH from certified stock
  • Chemical conversion to MIL-DTL-5541 Type I / II; Hard anodise Type III to MIL-A-8625 Type III
Trade-off

Thin walls below 1.2 mm and long aspect ratios are governed by distortion after stress relief, not by cycle time. We say so at DFM, before you commit.

How a requirement gets delivered

Quality isn’t a feature. It’s the layer across every step.

You shouldn’t have to coordinate the supply chain yourself. This is the path every requirement takes, and who is responsible at each step, including the steps we do not perform ourselves.

  1. 01QualifyAlmost Aliens

We read the requirement and ask what is missing. Then we qualify the route: which process, which manufacturing partner or specialist can deliver it, and whether we are the right people to take it on.

  2. 02Make / sourceQualified manufacturing partner or specialist supplier

Machined, fabricated or assembled by a manufacturing partner qualified for the job, or sourced from a specialist supplier. The drawing revision is pinned, and your company name never appears on their documents.

  3. 03InspectMeasured by the partner or lab; reviewed or witnessed by us

Inspection level agreed before the work starts: First Article to AS9102, CMM where it is called out. Where someone else took the measurement, our report says reviewed or witnessed by, never inspected by.

  4. 04TestAccredited lab, where the requirement calls for it

NDT, environmental or functional testing arranged and scheduled around the build. The lab’s certificate reaches you exactly as the lab issued it.

  5. 05DocumentAlmost Aliens

One document set on one numbering scheme: First Article, CMM, material certificates traced to heat and lot, certificate of conformance.

  6. 06PackageAlmost Aliens

Packed for what the part is and where it is going, labelled by line and serial, with the document set in the box.

  7. 07DeliverAlmost Aliens

Delivered against your order, with a delivery challan closing each line. If a date is going to slip, you hear it the day we know.

Beyond manufacturing

When the requirement goes further than a machined part

Manufacturing is our core. Beyond it, we coordinate the right path to fulfilment and keep what we manufacture, what we source and what specialist partners deliver clearly separate, so you always know who is doing the work.

Core capability

Manufactured under our route

Where our expertise starts. We own the path from drawing to delivered part: process selection, partner qualification, revision control, inspection and documentation.

  • CNC machining
  • Sheet metal fabrication
  • Welded fabrication
  • Metal additive
  • Assembly and integration
Explore manufacturing
Coordinated · case by case

Sourced to your specification

We find a supplier who can genuinely meet the spec and hold the part to the same inspection and documentation. We do not design these, and we confirm in our first reply whether we can take the requirement on.

  • Mechanical components: fasteners, bearings, connectors, seals, springs, inserts
  • Electronics: PCBs, PCB assemblies, harnesses, sensors
  • Optics: lenses, optical components, detectors
  • RF and communications: antennas, filters, amplifiers
  • Composite and honeycomb structures
Partner-delivered · where required

Arranged with specialist partners

Carried out by accredited labs and specialist facilities. We scope it, schedule it around the build, witness it where we can, and keep the lab’s certificate exactly as issued.

  • Non-destructive testing: dye penetrant, ultrasonic
  • Environmental testing: thermal vacuum, vibration, shock
  • EMI / EMC testing
  • Special processes: heat treatment, HIP

Hardware that has to fly

We read the drawing knowing where the part is going.

We don’t design spacecraft or payloads. We understand what a part on one has to survive, and we plan the build around it.

  • Vacuum: finishes checked for outgassing, bake-out agreed per programme
  • Traceability: material certificates traced to heat and lot, and kept that way
  • Revisions: pinned on every document; superseded drawings withdrawn from production
  • Interfaces: mating and sealing faces flagged at DFM, before anything is cut

Testing and verification

Verification, arranged where the requirement calls for it.

We don’t run a test facility. When a requirement needs verification, we scope it with you, book it with an accredited lab, schedule it around the build and witness it where we can.

  • Dimensional: CMM against the ballooned drawing, First Article to AS9102
  • Non-destructive: dye penetrant and ultrasonic, to the drawing’s acceptance standard
  • Environmental: thermal vacuum, vibration and shock, at partner facilities
  • EMI / EMC, electrical, RF and optical testing, case by case

Accredited certificates carry the lab’s own name and ULR number. We never alter or re-brand them.

Where to start

You don’t have to know who to call. You just have to know what you’re building.

Tell us what you’re building
  • “I need an aluminium bracket.”

Manufacturing. We check the drawing, choose the process and send the DFM findings with the quote.

  • “I need a small satellite structure.”

Manufacturing and assembly. Machined and formed parts, assembled and delivered with one document set.

  • “I need a camera payload component.”

Depends on the part. A housing or mount we manufacture; optics we source to your spec, under the same documentation.

  • “I need a PCB.”

Sourced to your specification from a supplier qualified for the job, with the same inspection and paperwork discipline.

  • “I need thermal-vacuum testing.”

Arranged with an accredited lab and scheduled around your build. The lab’s certificate comes to you unaltered.

  • “I have a hardware requirement and don’t know where to start.”

That is a valid starting point. Send what you have and we will ask the right questions.
