Manufacturing
Manufacturing is where our expertise starts
Our manufacturing focuses on low-volume, high-complexity aerospace parts, from prototypes through production batches, produced by manufacturing partners qualified for the job, on our route and under our inspection. Each page states the envelope we commit to, the tolerance classes to ISO 2768, the alloys we source and every finish with its governing specification. The numbers are the same ones the RFQ builder runs on, so nothing here can promise what a quote will not.
- AA/CAP/001
CNC machining
3-axis and 5-axis milling and CNC turning of brackets, fittings, housings and struts in aerospace alloys, executed through qualified manufacturing partners with first-article inspection and every finish tied to its specification.
- Envelope
- 600 × 600 × 450 mm
- Tolerance
- ISO 2768-f (fine)
- Baseline lead time
- 10–16 working days
- AA/CAP/002
Sheet metal fabrication
Laser-cut and CNC-formed shear panels, closeouts, MGSE trays and harness covers in aluminium and stainless, with flat patterns checked against the model and hardware inserted before finishing.
- Envelope
- 2500 × 1250 × 300 mm
- Tolerance
- ISO 2768-f (fine)
- Baseline lead time
- 9–9 working days
- AA/CAP/003
Welded fabrication
Tube frames, test stands, MGSE and handling fixtures welded to a qualified procedure, stress relieved and machined at the interfaces, with dye-penetrant inspection on structural welds.
- Envelope
- 3000 × 1500 × 1500 mm
- Tolerance
- ISO 2768-f (fine)
- Baseline lead time
- 18–18 working days
- AA/CAP/004
Metal additive
DMLS for lattice brackets, manifolds and internal-channel parts where the geometry cannot be machined, then built, heat-treated, HIPed where specified and finished at the interfaces as a machined part would be.
- Envelope
- 250 × 250 × 300 mm
- Tolerance
- ISO 2768-f (fine)
- Baseline lead time
- 14–14 working days
- AA/CAP/005
Assembly and integration
Kitting, mechanical assembly and serialised delivery of sub-assemblies, with inserts, fasteners and bonded joints installed to the drawing note, torque recorded per fastener, and one delivery challan per unit.
- Envelope
- 2000 × 1200 × 1200 mm
- Tolerance
- ISO 2768-f (fine)
- Baseline lead time
- 8–8 working days
- AA/CAP/006
Surface treatment
Anodising, chemical conversion, passivation, titanium anodise, electroless nickel and vacuum bake-out through qualified treatment houses, with every finish to a named specification, masking agreed per drawing, certificates unaltered.

Try the manufacturability check
Set up a line. See what we would flag.
The same rule engine that runs on every RFQ line. It reports scope, lead time and findings, and stops there. Pricing is a person's job, against a supplier's written number.
- PASSNo manufacturability issues detected against our standard process envelope.
HOLD means a person reviews the line before it goes to a vendor, not that we decline it. No price is shown: we quote only against vendor pricing confirmed in writing, within 24 hours.

Not sure which process? Send the drawing.
DFM findings on every line tell you where the geometry wants to go. The route is a person's call, and it comes back with the quote inside 24 hours.
